Kenyan Schools On the Lookout for Radicalisation Among Students

Garissa — Kenyan authorities have asked teachers across the country to be watchful of students in primary and secondary schools, following increasing fears that school-age children are being radicalised by al-Shabaab and its sympathisers.

In a government circular sent to all county education directors on April 11th, the Ministry of Education directed all schools to observe and take note of any suspicious activities that could indicate radicalisation among children.
